Strawberry-Habanero Pulled Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 cup strawberry puree
- 1/4 small onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 habanero pepper, minced
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 sandwich rolls
- 1 avocado, sliced (optional)
Directions
- Mix all ingredients except rolls and avocado in slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
- Shred the chicken and stir.
- Reduce heat to warm for 15 minutes.
- Serve on rolls.
- Top with avocado slices.
