Southern Ham Soup With Black-Eyed Peas And Hominy

Directions

  1. In a Dutch oven heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Add celery, onion, sweet pepper, and garlic and cook and stir for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in ham, paprika, sugar, dry mustard, cumin, basil, oregano, thyme, cloves, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Cook and stir for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in all remaining ingredients.
  6. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
