Simple Short Rib Stew



  1. Trim fat from ribs.
  2. Cut ribs into 1 1/2-inch pieces.
  3. Lightly coat a 12-inch skillet with cooking spray.
  4. Heat skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add meat, half at a time and cook until brown.
  6. Drain fat.
  7. In a slow cooker combine potatoes and carrots.
  8. Top with meat.
  9. In a bowl stir together gravy and plum sauce.
  10. Pour over mixture in cooker.
  11. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
  12. Skim fat.
