Sazerac

Ingredients

• 1/2 tsp. Pernod (or Absinthe substitute)
• 1 dash Peychaud's Bitters
• 1 cube Sugar (or 1/2 tsp. Simple Syrup)
• 2 oz. Whiskey (Rye)

Directions

1. Coat chilled old fashioned glass with Pernod.
2. Pour most of it out, then add bitters.
3. Add sugar cube (or simple syrup) and muddle.
4. Add whiskey.
5. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
