Italian Sausage Soup



  1. Combine Italian sausage, onion, and garlic over medium heat.
  2. Cook until sausage is cooked through, breaking up sausage into bite-size pieces.
  3. Drain fat.
  4. In a slow cooker combine carrot and celery.
  5. Place sausage mixture on top of vegetables.
  6. Mix in remaining ingredients except pasta and cheese.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
  8. If using low setting, turn to high setting.
  9. Stir in pasta.
  10. Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
  11. Discard bay leaf.
  12. Serve with cheese.
