Hot N Spicy Fish Soup



  1. Thaw fish, if frozen.
  2. Rinse fish and pat dry.
  3. Remove skin and bones.
  4. Cut into 1-inch pieces.
  5. In a saucepan heat oil over medium heat.
  6. Add cumin seeds and cook and stir 1 minute.
  7. Add onion and cook and stir for 4 to 5 minutes.
  8. Add ginger and chile pepper and cook and stir for 1 minute.
  9. Add tomato and cook and stir for 2 to 3 minutes.
  10. Stir in the water, coriander, turmeric, and salt.
  11. Bring to boiling.
  12. Reduce heat.
  13. Stir in fish.
  14. Cook, covered, 5 minutes or just until fish pieces flake easily when tested with a fork.
  15. Serve immediately.
  16. Garnish with cilantro.
